This includes optical color sorting to identify hard-to-see defects, gravity table separation with tight tolerances, precisely calibrated treaters for a variety of options and batch sizes, and advanced printing & palletizing for various packaging scenarios.

MEET OUR TEAM
TOBY BROWN, General Manager
As a nearly 40 year veteran in the seed industry, Toby brings his vast knowledge and experience to the role of General Manager for Premier Seed Group.
His passion for the seed industry began in 1981 when he started working for Select Seed Hybrids. Toby recalls, “I began working in the research department and enjoyed helping out with irrigation research, hand pollination, and eventually I moved into a management position as the warehouse and shipping manager.” From there his career blossomed as he accepted the Michigan Production Manager role with Select Seed, then moved on to working in field operations for Remington Seeds, and then joined Premier Seed Group in March 2018 as Production Manager. In July 2019, Toby accepted the role of General Manager and has been serving in this capacity ever since.
Toby enjoys being able to apply his skills and knowledge to help Premier’s customers and growers reach the highest potential in their production.
JEREMIAH BARKSTROM, Customer Service Lead
Since the start of his Premier Seed Group career in June 2017, Jeremiah has been instrumental in delivering a superior experience for all our customers. He works diligently as the Customer Service Lead where he is the primary point of contact between our customers and our conditioners/growers. His focus is to ensure an excellent standard of service and to enable a high level of customer satisfaction. At the core of this is:
> working to facilitate solutions for customer packaging needs
> coordinating packaging information between growers, conditioners, and customers
> collaborating with companies to improve logistics and shipping needs between customers, growers and conditioners
> providing answers to customer inquiries, customer updates/reports throughout the season
> managing sampling, preliminary and final quality results
> managing PSG inventory and wholesale contracts
Growing up in Milwaukee, WI Jeremiah earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Agricultural Business Management with certificates in Environmental Studies and German. With his education and past work experience, Jeremiah delivers on PSG’s promise of providing excellent products, quality, and customer service.
