WHO WE ARE
CONTRACT PRODUCTION FOR OVER 40 YEARS.
Mendon Seed Growers is a family-owned hybrid seed corn production operation. Dave Mumby and his wife Deanna.have owned and operated the business since 1999. Since its start in the 1970’s, Mendon Seed Growers has gradually grown into the operation it is today with over 2,000 irrigated production acres, new double pass drying system, all new shelling and handling systems and a well-seasoned staff.
With a goal of continuous improvement, Mendon Seed Growers is now offering our customers full service conditioning, warehousing and distribution through Excel Ag Solutions in Sturgis, MI. Utilizing flat screen sizing, color sorting and RIB blending, this new conditioning and packaging facility is ideally located next to the major transportation artery of the midwest, the I80/90 highway. Also available is over 30,000 sq.ft. of cold storage space, deblending, repackaging, and more.

Corn & Soybean Production
We utilize around 2,500 acres of seedcorn production in 3 different counties, covering corn maturities from 75 to 116 days and soybean varieties from Group 2.0 to 3.0.
Conditioning & Packaging
Through Excel Ag Solutions, we are able to offer full service conditioning with a state of the art system designed and installed by Omara Ag Services in 2018.
Irrigated Acres
Since 1979 we have been growing seed on highly productive sandy soil in Southwest Michigan.. 100% of our growing acres are irrigated for consistent yields.
Warehousing & Distribution
From the warehouse to the customer, we are able to meet your logistical needs every season with over 180,000 sq feet of space available. We also have cold storage warehousing.
